Evaluation Criteria
To obtain CTIA Certification, a CDMA device must pass a rigorous evaluation process, with testing conducted in both CTIA and FCC authorized test labs.
CTIA Testing
This portion of the evaluation is conducted by a CTIA Authorized Test Lab and, depending on the device’s capabilities, uses one or more of the following test plans:
- CTIA CDMA Test Plan
- CTIA Hearing Aid Compatibility Test Plan
- CTIA Test Plan for Mobile Station Over the Air Performance
- CTIA/Wi-Fi Alliance Test Plan for RF Performance Evaluation of Wi-Fi Mobile Converged Devices
FCC Type Acceptance Testing
This portion of the evaluation is conducted by an FCC authorized test lab. For more details please visit the FCC site.
